At least Elisa seemed rather amused by Mylène’s easy-going and even slightly wild attitude other than offended. She was well very acquainted with both reactions and greatly relieved her new friend seemed to belong to the easy-going sort as well. Nothing was worse in the vampiress’ eyes than being surrounded by self-centered bores. This chance encounter really could blossom into a good friendship given more time and other encounters where you didn’t have to scream your head off to be understood. Of course Mylène herself would be able to filter Elisa’s voice from the beat and singing, but she knew Elisa was not likely to do the same.
The subjects they had brought up so far were some Mylène really would like to pursue further, especially the music one. She did not only like to participate in the musical emotions, she also liked to sing, though her voice had never been that of a star in her eyes. But singing reminded her much of companionship, especially in times of uproar. In the nights before an important fight for freedom, people had always gathered to sing to raise their spirits. Many songs had been composed in those nights around campfires, talking about high hopes and dreams of a better world – and of a past never to be forgotten. Mylène made a mental note to ask Elisa for her number or anything like that to keep in contact. It would be nice to have someone to talk to every once in a while.
The bands new song distracted her for a little while. “We’re looking to give you a killer show tonight, so stick around, have fun, and show us what this town’s all about!” Danny the lead singer said and Mylène was all too happy to consent to that, joining in the ecstatic cheer. Even though she was not originally from Santa Carla, she had a right mind to show them what it was about, to paint this town red… in some cases not only figuratively speaking, but of course she was no monster. She rather drew blood secretively than smearing it on walls.
“And what's the worst you take (worst you take) from every heart you break (heart you break) And like the blade you stain (blade you stain) Well I've been holding on tonight”
Was she overly bias or why made this song they chose her think of her and her kind as well? No… she now remembered the video clip to this song. The display there had almost gone over insinuating, toeing the line of blatant. If not vampiristic, it was at least gothic enough!
It didn’t seem to be Elisa’s favourite type of music, but Mylène grinned at her and gave a thumbs up, before she imerged in the fast rhythm, swaying her still slightly damp hair from side to side and using the towel she still had slung around her shoulders to act as if she had wings.
