Do you go looking through advertisements, trying to find a board in the genre you want, with a premise that is close to something you want to do or sounds interesting to you? Then of course you have to see if your characters are available, acceptable. After all of that, you work on playing and seeing if it's at all possible to put into the works the plot or plan you have for your own characters. All of that is very much a gamble.
There is an old adage that writers, write. As true as this is, writers also like to plot. Plan, scheme, develop and of course, write. It is for this reason Bat out of Hell is here. As writers, we have ideas, plans and want to work on those. Write them out and find other writers to write with!
